John the Revelator saw the Immutability of the Holy Scriptures

By Joseph Chambers IF THE PRESENT CHURCH WORLD WOULD TAKE THE BOOK OF REVELATION AS THE PERFECT WORD OF GOD, EVERY FOUL DOCTRINE TROUBLING THE CHURCH WOULD VANISH. This book was written to the body of Christ and its truths are immutable, and so are all the other books of the Holy Scripture. That is not my word; that is God's Word. The great Apostle Paul wrote by the Holy Ghost that it was impossible for God to lie. Let's read the exceptional wording where we are promised that all the counsel or words of God are immutable. "For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirme...

The Judgments of the Tribulation (and Why It Matters to Christians)

by Alane Tentoni All of my life, I have had a curiosity about end-time events, but never pursued the matter because it was so confusing. Pre-trib, post-trib, pre-millennium or post-millennium, the seal judgments, the trumpet judgments... the list goes on. Finally, I found some excellent books on the subject, and as it turns out, the sequence of events following the rapture is not really so difficult to follow. Many people are curious about prophecy and end-time related events; however, most never thoroughly pursue the subject to achieve a basic understanding. Pre-trib, post-trib, pre-millennium or post-millennium, the seal judgments, the trumpet judgments... the list is daunting. Through some minimal effort though, it becomes apparent that there is organization to the sequence of events following the rapture. Not only is it easier than I thought, it is also vital. End-time events are happening everyday. We know the time is short, but we don't know how short. It is very likely ...

General End-Time Commentary

September 27th, 2004 WHY I BELIEVE THE RAPTURE IS VERY NEAR If you've been a regular visitor of this site, you might know the official view of Rapture Ready is that the Church will not know the exact date of the pre-tribulation rapture. We do maintain that believers will be able to estimate the nearness of the rapture by looking at various end-time precursors. The Bible clearly says, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28) . In recent days I've become all the more convinced the time to look for our redemption is drawing very, very nigh (near). I base this sense of urgency on six major end-time indicators. A single warning sign would not be a strong enough reason to speculate the rapture might be near. Dozens of indicators pointing in the same direction, however, produce a high combined mathematical probability that something is about to happen. Many of these indicat...

Jesus Christ Is Coming Again

The Lord Jesus came to earth to save man from his sins. He came in humility, in the likeness of man, and took upon him the form of a servant [Philippians 2:7] . He died for the sins of many, was buried, then rose again [1 Corinthians 15:4] , and ascended into heaven [Acts 1:9] . He was seen by the apostles and more than five hundred believers after the resurrection. After He ascended to heaven, two angels said to the disciples that His return would be like His ascension. Only God knows when the Lord will return. It may be in the evening, or at midnight, or in the morning, and at noon [Mark 13:35] . "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" [Matthew 24:44] . Some have predicted the time of His return, even to the day and hour. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" [Matthew 24:36] . He will come unexpectedly as a thief in the night [2 Peter 3:10] . "For as a sn...

Personal Commentary from PROFANITY: Swearing, Jesting and Joking

The previous [gospel] tract was published -- like the many I plan on posting here -- by the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Here's the address for anyone interested in getting some: GOSPEL TRACT AND BIBLE SOCIETY P.O. Box 700 Moundridge, Kansas 67107 (U.S.A) Anyway, the (tract) the main reason I'd posted this tract (in the previous post) is that it reflects a common problem in today's society. Of course people have ALWAYS used bad language [in addition to telling dirty jokes], but today it's worse than ever , to be honest. There was a time when there were little to no (curse/cuss) words in music; but today the amount of songs & music that contains OVP [obscene/vulgar/profane] language are a penny a dozen. Moreover you find lots of foul language & foolish, vapid, insipid conversation everywhere else in the mass media, including television, movies, radio, newspapers (possibly), literature (of all kinds), magazines, & the Internet. Going out in a publ...
